Clark Atlanta University Results

James Tower partnered with Clark Atlanta University (an HBCU in Atlanta, Ga.) to implement a Gold-level AdmissionsGenie service to assist them with prospective student outreach, relationship building, and communications via the Web. The site was live to the Internet on November 3, 2005.

During the course of this project, CAU underwent immense turnover in their admissions leadership, losing both their Vice President of Enrollment and a newly appointed Director of Admissions. This resulted in a request for additional design changes prior to “officially launching” the AdmissionsGenie Web site to CAU’s prospects. As a result, no e-mails announcing the existence of the Web site were sent out to CAU prospects or any other audience. The site simply existed quietly, with an official launch anticipated in December.

Despite this, the results were anything but quiet.

As of November 22, 2005 CAU has seen the following:

  • Close to 2,000 individuals have accessed the AdmissionsGenie Web site and created personal accounts.
  • These registrants have logged into the AdmissionsGenie site 3,255 times - an average of 163 logins each day.
  • While a large portion of these prospects are from Georgia, prospects from across the United States have logged into the CAU community. The top 10 states are: Georgia, California, New York, Texas, Maryland, Florida, Illinois, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Michigan.
  • CAU has received 1,200 electronic requests for information from the AdmissionsGenie site.
  • In the past 20 days, students have submitted 228 questions to the CAU message boards.
  • Since November 3, CAU’s AdmissionsGenie has received 41,227 individual visits, an average of 2,061 visits each day.
