Customization

If you have ever shopped online for business cards, created an invitation or added your picture, logo or content to a holiday card, you have used customization. In its simplest form, customization for the Web allows a company to provide various options for adding text, images and custom design elements to their products. Customization allows the customer to drive the content placed onto product(s) based on the guidelines of the product/imprint administrator.

Administrative control over customization options is important. Our tools allow flexible imprint line colors, justification, fonts, stock logo libraries and much more. The administrator can set each option at the product level giving template customization to each product within your catalog. When using our image preflight tools, you help the user by only allowing images with the correct specs to be applied to the product. With the preview option, showing the end result before they make their purchase enhances the user experience. This cuts down on customer support calls for misspelled words, returns due to transposition errors and reprints.

Preview

Our preview engine allows you to pull the customization engine into a publishing platform. This tool will allow you to have flexible design control with powerful features that are created specifically for your variable publishing. You will be able to produce award-winning, rich and creative designs that will appear as though they were created with the individual attention of a graphic designer.

The engine will allow a site administrator to upload Quark or InDesign documents for initial product setup. You will also be able to create a product from scratch within the application. Once you have setup up your product you may then add areas for personalization, job output settings, copy fit rules and flex rules to match the expected variable printing requirements. This will allow you to upload all information with the upload data tools.

Once complete, this tool will allow the user to update products online with specific text, images or other properties without changing other parts of the document. This is useful when you need to follow company identity and branding guidelines or when following requirements set up by a printer for specs on a printed product.

This user-friendly application is very similar to Quark and InDesign, allowing for ease of use in training and setup of products. Some of the main features of the application are listed below.
