MakesParties.com is the Internet Division of Sherman Specialty Corp., a leading importer and respected provider of party supplies. MakesParties.com sought to take its existing party supply product line to market directly through the Internet. It developed a unique affiliate program where qualified applicants can sign up to resell party supplies, decorations, and personalized items using a co-branded online store for a commission on each order. 

Challenge

Initially, MakesParties.com had a technology solution to manage their affiliate program and online transactions. The idea was a huge success, but the company soon found it difficult to keep up with the traffic and types of functionality it wanted due to outdated technology. MakesParties.com understood that it needed to invest in a scalable solution if it wanted to expand its online traffic, diversify the product line, and offer personalization to its customers.

This addition offers a unique product line to MakesParties.com’s customers. MakesParties.com affiliates can also customize the look of their web sites using administrator tools developed by James Tower. James Tower’s solution has allowed MakesParties.com to dramatically expand both the sales and marketing efforts into new territories.
