Senior Programmer

James Tower is seeking a Senior Programmer who will be the technical owner of an application or project and ensures application integrity and quality throughout the entirety of development and/or maintenance.  The Senior Programmer is responsible for guiding fellow developers on their team through projects and ensuring that their work meets development and quality standards.

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with persons at all levels of authority, as well as, across company departments is essential when defining business requirements, defining project scope, translating requirements into technical criteria, and providing development estimates for system enhancements. Applicants must have communication skills utilized for developing and maintaining system documentation, ensuring working and effective system monitors, and promoting quality throughout all processes. 

Knowledge of Web site development including software design characteristics and development in HTML and Web-based services is required.  Qualified candidates will have 2-3 years of programmer experience working with such languages as .NET, JAVA, Cold Fusion, or PHP.  Detailed knowledge of professional standards, practices and principles regarding design and production of eCommerce materials is necessary.  Degree in Computer Science or closely related field preferred; 3+ years of experience in an IT environment with a minimum of 1 year in a leadership position required.
